After the Kobe Steel scandal, another Japanese company is coming into the picture for falsifying the data in order to sell the products. This company is no one other than the known card producer Mitsubishi.
Mitsubishi Materials has admitted that three of its divisions had falsified data for materials sold car, power and aerospace sectors. It has stated its sincere apology for the deceit.
Mitsubishi Shindoh, Mitsubishi Aluminium and Mitsubishi Materials are th three divisions in question.
Mitsubishi has promised that it will rectify all the mistakes in the production and improve its quality control to make sure the issues do not get repeated again.
Mitsubishi Material has sold material worth $264m between April 2015 and September 2017 to 229 firms of which 70 are operating in the aerospace industry and 7 are car producers. Mitsubishi Shindoh has played with the copper products data which it had supplied to 29 companies.
However, Mitsubishi Material has informed that no safety or legal issues have been raised in both the cases.
In September, Japan’s third-largest steelmaker, Kobe Steal accepted its activities in the falsification of quality control data.
