Nestle Sold Its Australian Brand Violet Crumble
Violet Crumble is Australia’s version of the Crunchie bar. This Nestle owned Brand is bought by Adelaide chocolate maker, Robern Menz. It is an Australian firm. The cost of deal is not revealed by either of the parties.
This bar was first produced in 1913. This sale will bring back the ownership of the brand to South Australia, where it was first produced.
It was under the ownership of an Australian manufacturer named  Rowntree Hoadley until the mid 1980s.
The deal, is partly funded by state government and grants worth 1.65m Australian dollars. It is supposed create over 30 new jobs.
Violet Crumble bars have been produced at Nestle Australia’s factory in Melbourne since 1983.
