Amazon Go in Seattle is a step forward towards revived experience of shopping in supermarkets. Amazon has opened its first supermarket without checkouts.
Amazon staff has been experimenting this product for last one year.
This Amazon supermarket uses several ceiling-mounted cameras to recognize each customer and keep a track of items they select. The purchases made are billed to the credit card of the customer when he/she leaves the store.
While entering the store, shoppers have to scan the Amazon Go smartphone app.
Though this store is a radicle advancement made by Amazon in the process of shopping, there are a few issues with correctly identifying shoppers of similar body types and people moving items to the wrong places on shelves Etc.
Amazon has not confirmed if it will open more Go stores.
