Amazon, JP Morgan and Berkshire Hathaway are joining hands to create a healthcare firm.
The newly created firm would a non profit making firm which aims to cater care to staff at a reasonable cost.
However, the news spread a sense of fear in the industry that Amazon could disturb the healthcare sector just the way that it disrupt the retail sector. These three firms are three largest private employers in the US which employes more than 500,000 workforce.
People prefer transparency, control and knowledge when it comes to healthcare,” stated Jamie Dimon, chairman and chief executive of JPMorgan Chase.
Initially, the company’s formation will be chaired by Todd Combs, Marvelle Sullivan Berchtold and Beth Galetti. Management and operations of company are not yet clear.
